The bachelor's degree programme Building Construction requires 8 semesters/4 years of full-time study. The tuition fee is 3000 EUR or 3000 USD per year (2 semesters).
The master's degree programme Building Construction requires 3 semesters/18 months of full-time study. The tuition fee is 3500 EUR or 3500 USD per year (2 semesters).
The doctoral degree programmes - full-time mode of study requires 8 semesters/4 years. The tuition fee is 4000 EUR or 4000 USD per year (2 semesters).
The doctoral degree programmes - combined mode of study requires 8 semesters/4 years. The tuition fee is 1500 EUR or 1500 USD per year (2 semesters).

Step 2 Documents

The application for study is submitted online.

You need to attach:

  • to start a bachelor's degree programme: a copy of your completed secondary school diploma confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the diploma was issued, and confirmation of its recognition (see below),
  • to start a master's degree programme: an original or approved copy of your university (bachelor's) diploma, the diploma supplement, and confirmation of their recognition (see below),
  • to start a doctoral degree programme:
    • an original or approved copy of your university (master's) diploma,
    • the diploma supplement, and confirmation of their recognition (see below),
    • curriculum vitae and brief information on professional and publishing activities and results that the applicant has achieved so far when dealing with professional issues related to the chosen topic of the dissertation.

Recognition

The following procedure does not apply to applicants who received their education in the Slovak Republic, Hungary, Poland or Germany, or to applicants who completed their secondary or master's studies in Slovenia. Education certificates from these countries are automatically equivalent to the education certificate issued in the Czech Republic.

If your come from a country outside the above list, to start a bachelor's degree programme you need a copy of your completed secondary school certificate confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the diploma was issued, and a document confirming its recognition by the Czech authorities.
If you wish to start a master's degree programme, you need to provide an approved copy of your university bachelor's degree diploma, the diploma supplement, and a document confirming their recognition by the Czech authorities.

Step 3 Admission fee

You need to pay the admission fee of 28 EUR to the Brno University of Technology account given in the application form. The admission application is invalid without the admission fee payment.
On receipt of the requested documents and the admission fee, the Faculty of Civil Engineering will process your application and you will be informed regarding your acceptance.
The deadline for submitting the application and related documents, as well as the payment of the admission fee, is May 31, 2025.
The Dean of the Faculty has ruled that applicants shall be accepted to the bachelor's and master's degree study programmes Civil Engineering without taking an entrance examination for the academic year 2025-26, but English level B2 is required. For more details see The CEFR Levels.
When you receive the Contract, you will be asked to pay the initial tuition fee, which is 50 % of the tuition fee for the first academic year (so 1500 EUR or 1500 USD for a bachelor's and 1750 EUR or 1750 USD for a master's course).

Step 4 Enrolment

On receipt of the initial payment from the student, he or she will be sent an invitation to enrol which states the date enrolment should take place.
To finish the admission process, students must enrol in their course at the Office of Academic Affairs in person at the beginning of September and pay the remaining part of the tuition fee before the course starts.
If students are unable to enrol in person, they can grant power of attorney to another person, who will then enrol for them.
When enrolling, students need to present validated copies of documents related to their previous education.
