1. Introduction to the issue, an overview of the literature, basic terms and legislation related to the assessment of the life cycles of buildings and construction products.
2.–3. Principles of life cycle assessment (Life-Cycle Assessment).
4.–5. Evaluation of the environmental impacts of the life cycle of buildings, building materials and products; environmental statement, etc.
6. Evaluation of construction life cycle costs.
7. Evaluation of cultural and social aspects of the life cycle of buildings.
8. Multi-criteria evaluation of buildings, building materials and products; examples of used methodologies.
9.–10. Design solutions for climate-neutral construction in the context of life cycle assessment of buildings: green roofs and facades, solar walls, integration of renewable sources, etc. Comparison of efficiency, environmental, economic and social impacts.
11.–12. Design solutions for climate-neutral construction in the context of life cycle assessment of buildings: traditional vs. natural building materials. Comparison of efficiency, environmental, economic and social impacts.
13. Energy in the construction life cycle: Available resources, their effectiveness, environmental and economic impacts.

1. Introduction to the exercise, presentation of the required scope and form of processing the semester work.
2.–3. Evaluation of socio-cultural aspects of the construction life cycle: application of the SBToolCZ methodology to the specified construction.
4.–5. Evaluation of the environmental impacts of the product life cycle: setting boundary conditions, creating inventory tables and evaluating the impacts of the specified product.
6.–9. Evaluation of the tied environmental impacts of the life cycle of building constructions: evaluation of the impacts of specified typical building constructions, optimization of construction compositions, comparison of traditional and natural building materials.
10.–11. Evaluation of operational environmental impacts of buildings: tied vs. operational impacts, evaluation and comparison of the environmental impacts of specified energy sources.
12.–13. Presentation and comparison of the results of individual assignments. Discussion and evaluation of semester papers. Credit.
