Syllabus
- Week 1: Memories; review of narrative tenses, including ‘used to’ and ‘would’
- Week 2: Work and motivation; my ideal job, work experience, first day of work/internship
- Week 3: CVs and cover letters; discourse markers 1 – linking ideas with words and phrases
- Week 4: History; discourse markers 2 – linking ideas with adverbs and adverbial phrases
- Week 5: Books, plays and films; reviews; adding emphasis through inversion
- Week 6: Multitasking and time management; distancing expressions
- Week 7: Expressions with the noun 'time'; IT/software
- Week 8: Internship ads, Erasmus+ application forms, traineeship agreement; communicating face-to-face with professors/supervisors
- Week 9: Money and happiness; unreal uses of past tenses
- Week 10: Conditionals – comprehensive overview, including mixed conditionals
- Week 11: Addictions and obsessions; adjectives and prepositions
- Week 12: Sounds and the human voice; speculation and deduction
- Week 13: Revision
