Research interests
- Lubomil Pospíšil graduated at the Charles University Prague in 1970, with a master`s degree in Geology. After his postgraduate studies (Geophysics) at the same university, he joined Geofyzika a.s. Brno, branch Bratislava in 1972, and started his work within the hydrogeological exploration programme in the Sudan Republic in 1974. Between 1973 and 1978 he devoted to problems of metallic and hydrocarbon exploration of the West Carpathian area.
- He was responsible for complex analyses and interpretation and for the development of an innovative approach and utilisation of Remote Sensing in Applied Geophysics.
- In the 1983 he undertake a PhD at the Slovak Academy. PhD thesis was devoted to the analyses and syntheses of geo-data from the Trans-Carpathian Depression and its surroundings. Several times he was invited as expert - consultant to geophysical expedition (Syria -1986, Finland - 1988). Between 1983 – 1987 he worked as Senior Geophysicist, later as Research worker in Geofyzika Brno. Between 1997 and 2000, he was active as Marketing Manager.
