Syllabus
1. Introduction into GIS problems.
2. Definitions and divisions of GIS.
3. Data GIS models, phases of formation, typology of GIS, GIS managing data structures.
4. Definition, collection and organisation of graphical data. Procedure within the formation of a GIS project.
5. Planning of geographical technologies.
6. Geographical analyses, spatial questions, questions on mapping objects and attribute tables.
7. Characteristics of programming products of firms Intergraph, Autodesk, Bentley, ESRI.
8. Usage of GIS within public authorities. Usage of GIS for certification of line constructions.
9. Introduction into problems of modelling over GIS platform.
10. Basic tasks – transport optimisation, goods delivery, optimal routes, region attendance, crisis management,
11. Expert systems and its usage within railway transport.
12. Application of GPS systems in transport etc.
13. New trends of GIS development. The connection of GIS and the Internet.
