Syllabus

  • 1. Fundamentals of satellite geodesy. Coordinate systems. Time systems. Motion of a satellite in Earth´s gravity field.
  • 2. Inertial and terrestrial systems, definition and realization.
  • 3. Satellite methods in geodesy and geophysics (VLBI, SLR, LLR, DORIS, satellite altimetry, satellite navigation systems).
  • 4. Global navigation satellite system. Principles of ambiguity resolution. Ionospheric and tropospheric corrections. Accuracy.
  • 5. Optimization of observation a processing procedures.
  • 6. GNSS processing software systems SKI-Pro and Bernese.
