The course is primarily aimed at consolidating and supplementing legal knowledge in the field of construction. In particular, legislative developments will be emphasized. Special attention will be paid to construction law. Another focus of the course will be contractual issues in the construction field. The course will also focus on the process of expropriation of buildings with emphasis on expropriation valuation, technical requirements for construction products, FIDIC and BIM issues, as well as forensic and expert witness activities. The criminal aspects of construction activities will also be addressed.

Objective
The aim of the course is to introduce students into the current developments in construction law and some related areas of legal regulation. Attention will be focused on the new Construction Act and the transition period and on the new Uniform Environmental Statement Act. Special attention will be paid to construction law and basic contract types in the construction field. The course will also focus on the issue of expropriation and its practical implications, as well as technical requirements for construction products. Another aim of the course will be the introduction in the FIDIC contract terms, BIM, and forensic expertise. Last but not least, attention will be paid to the criminal aspects of construction activities.
