Syllabus
- Introduction, basic terms, river basin, rainfall-runoff process.
- Climatological measures - precipitation.
- Climatological measures - atmospheric humidity, evaporation.
- Geographical measures of a river basin.
- Water level and water discharge measurement.
- Statistical analysis of hydrological data.
- Approximation of empirical distributions by theoretical distributions used in hydrology, regression models.
- Analysis of hydrological time series, basic of stochastic hydrology, artificial discharge series.
- Derivation of discharge series, determination of annual flow, introduction to extreme discharges.
- Methodology of evaluation of maximum and minimum discharges.
- Prediction of water level and discharges, basic types of models.
- Fluvial processes and sediments.
- Ground water, springs and aquifer flows.

- Generation of synthetic flow series.
- Maximum flow determination from the measured data.
- Maximum flow determination in the gauging profile of a small basin.
