- Pronunciation & Alphabet: Basic rules of French pronunciation
- Verbs & Conjugation: Verbs être and avoir, regular Group 1 verbs (e.g., parler, habiter), verbs aimer and détester
- Genders & Articles: Masculine and feminine nouns, definite and indefinite articles, plural forms
- Pronouns & Prepositions: Possessive pronouns, prepositions used with cities and countries
- Sentence Structure: The grammatical construction il y a
Vocabulary & Topics
- Numbers & Contact Info: Numbers 1–20 and 20–100, phone numbers
- Personal Information: Nationalities, spoken languages, countries, and cities
- Time & Calendar: Days of the week, months of the year
- Family: Family members and relationships
- Work & Leisure: Professions and occupations, hobbies and interests
Communication Skills
- Introducing oneself and initiating contact ("My name is...", "My phone number is...")
- Stating age, origin, and language skills ("How old are you?", "Where are you from?", "I speak...")
- Talking about family and personal background
- Expressing preferences and personal tastes ("What I like", "What I enjoy doing")
- Conversing about career plans ("What I want to be") and free-time activities

- Comprehensive grammar practice (Group 1 verbs, être, avoir)
- Consolidation of vocabulary from Units 1 and 2

The course places a strong emphasis on speaking and interaction, and includes listening exercises, videos, and games.

Aims
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
Grammar & Language Knowledge
- Correctly apply basic rules of French pronunciation and read unfamiliar words.
- Conjugate the irregular verbs être and avoir as well as regular Group 1 verbs (e.g., parler, habiter) in the present tense.
- Properly use definite and indefinite articles, form the feminine gender of adjectives, and create plural forms of nouns.
- Master numbers 1–100, possessive pronouns (mon, ma, mes...), and prepositions used with countries and cities.
- Use the grammatical construction il y a to indicate the presence or existence of people and things.
Communication & Practical Skills
- Introduce themselves and others (share name, age, nationality, residence, phone number, and spoken languages).
- Describe their family and explain basic family relationships.
- Discuss their profession, studies, and future career plans.
- Express personal tastes, preferences, and hobbies using the verbs aimer and détester.
- Understand simple written and spoken texts within the scope of Units 1 and 2 and actively respond to basic questions.
