In this course, students build on the knowledge and skills acquired in the previous courses, VYF001 and VYF002. In terms of vocabulary, communication, and conversation, students will explore the following topics:

My daily life (describing one's day, hobbies, talking about school and interests, suggesting plans and accepting/declining them)

Clothing (fashion, shopping, accessories, in-store scenarios, describing accessories)

Housing (describing a house or an apartment, resolving housing issues, understanding and responding to housing advertisements)
Regarding grammar, the course covers the following structures:

Pronominal verbs in the present and past tenses

Modal verbs (devoir, pouvoir, savoir, vouloir)

Near future tense (futur proche)
-
Recent past tense (passé récent)
-
Past tense (passé composé)
-
Demonstrative pronouns; direct and indirect object pronouns

Adverbs of frequency (jamais, rarement, parfois...)

Irregular verbs
The course places a strong emphasis on speaking and conversation. Students frequently work in pairs or small groups. The material is taught in an engaging and playful manner, incorporating videos, listening exercises, songs, games, and quizzes.

Reading skills, translating a simpler text, simple topic communication, speaking and writing skills.
Level A1 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Student will accomplish the aim of the course, which is: mastering vocabulary to the extent of 800 words, basic grammar for speaking in the Present, Past and Future Tenses.

Week 1: Introduction: myself and my life, my family, my school
Week 2: Vocabulary: clothing, accessories, fashion; the verb vendre
Week 3: Near future tense (futur proche); modal verbs (vouloir, pouvoir, devoir, savoir)
Week 4: Describing objects; technology around us; shopping scenarios
Week 5: Recent past tense (passé récent); pronominal verbs in the present tense
Week 6: My daily life; telling time; verbs like partir
Week 7: Past tense (passé composé); apartments and houses
Week 8: Past tense (passé composé); furniture and describing an apartment
Week 9: Past tense (passé composé); apartment building rules; the house of my dreams
Week 10: Direct object pronouns (COD); prohibitions and commands
Week 11: Review of passé composé; storytelling in the past tense
Week 12: Revision of topics from Units 5, 6, and 7
Week 13: Practice of the covered material through games and quizzes; final credit test
