German for Pre-intermediate Students 1

VYN003 course is not part of any programme in the faculty
The course is intended for pre-intermediate students and aims to review and develop students´ language skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) at the pre-intermediate level of general German (A2 lower according to the CEFR).
Grammar: past tense (Perfekt), vebs haben and sein in Präteritum, prepositions of time and place, modal verbs, word order, pronoun man, imperative, possessive pronouns
Vocabulary: work and jobs, travelling, staying at a hotel, rules and advice, health and sickness, body parts, arranging an appointment

Entry Knowledge
Students should be familiar with the grammar and vocabulary covered in the courses VYN001 and VYN002.
Aims
Having completed the course, students will be able to understand and communicate in everyday situations, such as travelling, at the doctor´s or at work.
Target level according to the CEFR: A2 lower.

- 4. L8: looking for a job, job interview
- 5. L8: modal verbs, filling in a form
- 6. L9: imperative, advice and recommendations
- 7. L9: staying at a hotel, at the reception desk
- 8. L10: verb wehtun, body parts
- 9. L10: possessive pronouns, health problems
- 10. L10: modal verbs, advice and instructions
