German for Pre-Intermediate Students 2

VYN004 course is not part of any programme in the faculty

The course is intended for pre-intermediate students and aims to review and develop students´ language skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) at the pre-intermediate level of general German (A2 higher according to the CEFR).

Grammar: prepositions of place and time, prepositions with dative, konjunktiv II, word order, verbs with separable prefixes, demonstrative pronouns, comparative and superlative of adjectives, modal verbs, future forms, conjunctions, dative and accusative forms of personal pronouns

Vocabulary: means of transport, giving directions, phone calls, daily routine, shopping for clothes, months and dates, feasts and festivals, hopes and wishes

Aims

Having completed the course, students will be able to understand and effectively communicate in common everyday situations (when travelling, shopping, making phone calls etc.), providing they are expressed in a clear and straightforward manne

Target level according to the CEFR: A2 higher.

  • 10. L14: dates, feast and festivals
  • 11. L14: accusative forms of personal pronouns, invitations
