Intermediate German (exam)

VYN051 course is not part of any programme in the faculty
The exam is based on the internationally recognized exam Goethe-Zertifikat Deutsch at the B1 level (intermediate).
Students should be able to generally understand information about familiar topics and situations (at work, at school, in their free time, when travelling etc.), providing it is expressed in a clear and straightforward manner. Furthermore, they should be able to create a simple coherent text.
Moreover, they should be able to use German to communicate effectively; they should be able to describe experiences, events, ambitions, hopes and plans, and to briefly explain or justify their ideas and statements.
Lastly, they should be familiar with grammar at the intermediate level.
For this exam, the optional subjects VYN005 are VYN006 are offered. The exam is based on the contents of the textbooks Schritte International NEU Band 5-6. The exam tests students' reading, listening, speaking and writing skills as well as their command of grammar and vocabulary at the intermediate level.

Grammar and vocabulary covered in the textbooks Schritte International NEU Band 5-6 . Reading, listening, writing and speaking skills at the intermediate level.
Students should be able to take part in a conversation on common topics and understand easily comprehensible texts and speeches. They should have mastered verb tenses including the plusquamperfect, declination of adjectives, word order after various conjunctions, conditional sentences, Konjunktiv II. as well as other grammatical phenomena. They should be able to express themselves in a comprehensible way, avoiding grave mistakes.
Aims
The aim of this exam is to assess whether students have reached the B1 level (in German) according to the CEFR.
