Forms and criteria of assessment
Entry Knowledge
Fundamentals in architectural acoustics and buildng construction design.
Aims
- Professional knowledge:
The course aims to build upon fundamental knowledge of building acoustics and provide students with information regarding acoustic assessments and design solutions for mitigating the transmission of noise and vibrations within buildings.
- Professional skills:
Designing and assessing spaces from the perspective of building acoustics. Evaluating the impact of sound and vibration transmission through building structures. Operating measurement equipment and analyzing the data obtained. Using specialized software for acoustic modeling.
- Professional competencies: Students will be able to perform basic assessments of how noise and vibration transmission affects building structures. They will apply this knowledge in their further studies when working on projects.
Prerequisites
Fundamentals in architectural acoustics and buildng construction design.
