Entry Knowledge

Knowledge in the fields of building design, building technical systems, measuring and regulation, building energy audit, smart buildings and systems, facility management, sustainable buildings.

Aims

Professional Knowledge

The student has knowledge of the principles of designing and assessing technical measures in the field of building services and of their verification using experimental methods and computer modelling. The student understands the basic principles of assessing the environmental, energy and operational performance of buildings and the tools used for such assessments.

Professional Skills

The student is able, based on the results of experimental measurements or computer simulations, to complete the design of selected technical measures, evaluate their effectiveness, and prepare a professional output corresponding to the selected assessment method, such as an environmental building quality certificate, an energy audit or assessment, or a facility management report. The student is able to interpret and present the results professionally.

Professional Competence

The student is able to independently or as part of a team apply professional knowledge and skills in the design and assessment of technical measures, select appropriate methods for their verification, and formulate conclusions based on the results obtained. The student is able to professionally present and defend the results of their work.

Prerequisites

Knowledge in the fields of building design, building technical systems, measuring and regulation, building energy audit, smart buildings and systems, facility management, sustainable buildings.
