Theory of heat transfer in building services. Thermal properties of materials, elementary heat processes. Vapour and conditions of vapour. Thermal processes, their dynamic, analytical and numerical solution. Heat transfer by natural and forced convection. Heat transfer by phase changes. Heat transfer by radiation. Principles of heat exchangers in building services. Special problems in heat transfer in building services.

Entry Knowledge
- Professional Knowledge: The student understands the theoretical principles of steady-state and transient heat conduction, convection, radiation, phase transitions, and thermodynamic states of water vapor in building services engineering applications.
- Professional Skills: The student can analytically and numerically solve heat transfer and conduction problems in planar and cylindrical structures, convective heat exchange, and phase changes within building services systems.
- Professional Competences: The student is qualified to independently evaluate and optimize the thermal performance of building structures and HVAC/building services components for energy-efficient design and operation.
