Dean of the Faculty during his term of office:

• acts and decides on behalf of BUT in matters concerning the faculty pursuant,
• recalls and appoints vice-deans, heads of individual faculties of the faculty defined in the faculty's Organizational Rules, including the faculty secretary, council, field council, advisory councils and working groups,
• assigns tasks and controls the activities of heads of individual parts of the Faculty, as defined in the Organizational Rules of the Faculty, including the Faculty Secretary
• if necessary, the faculty establishes other advisory bodies and appoints or recalls their members
• convenes and directs Scientific Board meetings, submits to Scientific Board for information and discussion key opinions and conclusions adopted or discussed in the Scientific Board of BUT, AS, etc.
• proposes for the faculty members to the BUT university-wide bodies
